So the only way I can check my email if I haven't in the last 3 minutes is if I'm both with my family and I want to lose them?

you're obviously not a plane salesman

In no rush, I ordered my 4S that the day you were able to do so, somewhat late in the day, and am getting my phone in the mail today.

You really don't understand the excitement? I would think someone that is so addicted to an OS/hardware ecosystem that they would have a plushie of its mascot could appreciate enthusiasm for another OS/hardware ecosystem.

i have to say that you're forgetting that the vast majority of tablets pre-ipad (at least mass-marketed ones) had a physical keyboard and were basically netbooks with swivel screens.

I'm going to sell in 3.8 years so you 3.9-year sellers don't drag down my price!

Gotta agree, this seems like journalism of educated guesses. In fact, if there wasn't a long term plan in place that Steve Jobs had a lot of influence on, I would be shocked. If I was an employee or shareholder and there was no long term plan, I would be outraged and scared.
