I usually like Bugliosi, and I've read Helter Skelter a few times, but I couldn't get past chapter one of Outrage. He comes off as so smug and condescending.

I also though the Aaron/applesauce drama was a shorthand way to tell the audience that Aaron is used to still having the luxury to pick and choose the foods that he eats, which points towards him telling the truth about the settlement as well as illustrating a huge difference between Camp Dinnerbell and Alexandria.

They basically did this with the governor novels and it still didn't help the governor's storyline.
