Chiquita Banana could get hit by an Dole delivery truck and there would be less low hanging fruit than this comment.

Sure. Harper is a great player.

As far as I know, John Kerry is 9 foot 12 inches.

I didn’t realize that.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are having their best season ever. They have the 4th best record in the league. The earliest they can get home ice advantage is the 3rd round of the playoffs.

You cannot lose games in the NHL and still win.

It’s the best time of the year in Washington. Cherry blossoms in bloom. Nationals are off to a hot start. Dan Snyder is busy looking for new lifts for his shoes. And the Capitals and Wizards haven’t been eliminated from the playoffs yet.

Behold the glory of the NHL playoff format.

Comments like this really make me miss the old Deadspin.

I had not been in New York for years until about 2-3 weeks ago. I had exactly one day there. It was about 3 days after that weird ice/snow storm that hit the city. Every sidewalk had 8 inches of black, cruddy ice/snow with 10-15 trashbags on top of it. And every intersection was a slush puddle.

This happened 7 years ago!!!

There were 44 goddamn fouls called during last night’s game, and 27 of those whistles were blown in the second half.

The Wiz are total hypocrites here.

Sorry to break the news to you that Golden Boy Chase Utley really didn’t produce many stats.

It took me about 6 weeks to learn how to do an ollie when I was 11. I eventually learned to jump over the manhole cover on my street.

Chase Utley: .278 batting average, 1777 hits, 1040 runs, 977 RBI, 250 home runs

The only player they discuss WAR for is Mike Mussina. And he is not in the Hall of Fame.

Tell me which Hall of Fame voters are using WAR for their ballots. Which of them old crusty guys that do Hall of Fame voting ?

Utley has 1777 career hits. He probably won’t make it to 2000.

Players like Moss and Peterson only come along every once and while.
