Well, I’m an uggo and a racial minority, so I’m the most unprivileged of all. I definitely don’t benefit from any of these things.

And sometimes women/girls place themselves into those boxes willingly because they benefit from these roles. You can’t complain about these things and then benefit from them without being criticized.

If you’re willing to play up stereotypes of women (i.e. teeny tiny doggies and itty bitty tees and dancing in your underwear) to get ahead in life then you’re part of the bigger problem, too. I think that’s the point of the song and I still think it’s a good message.
