My cousin was murdered a couple of years ago. It very upsetting to our entire family. So sudden and violent. That night I dreamed of my grandmother, who was the sweetest, most loving person I’ve ever known. I was telling her about my cousin, whom she didn’t know because my cousin was from my dad’s side of the family

That’s sad and sweet.

I’m torn between being relieved it was not a specter and at the same time... ugh, actual weird guy/not ghost licked your bf’s chest????

Aaaarghhhhh!!! This needs more stars!!!

Dude... I doubt he had a daughter.  Or a fiance he just broke up with.  Glad you got out of that ok.

Back in early December of 1999 my husband and I still lived with his parents, ensconced in the back part of the house, which they’d portioned off and consisted of a kitchen with a small hallway leading to the bedroom and bathroom. It was tiny. I was on the floor of our bedroom, folding laundry, my then 10 month old

I may have told this one already, but here goes again...

We adopted a dog recently after not having had one for years. He’s a dear, sweet lab mix and from the moment I saw him I knew he was going to be part of our family. Brought him home and my husband and our boys were waiting outside for us. He immediately took to all of them. Excitedly sniffing and licking and “hugging”

This happened June or July of this year... we were having a little backyard BBQ and my son invited his girlfriend over.  It was our first time meeting her.  We were all sitting in the living room.  My husband on one armchair, my son and the girl on the long sofa, with me sitting at the very end.  We’re chit-chatting

Favorite time of the year! I’ve posted before and here’s another one, this one more recent.

I was captivated with her voice whilst watching a movie on Netflix a couple of years back... Amor De Mis Amores. Hilarious movie, but the real takeaway was discovering Natalia’s soulful rendition of the song.

Not very long ago, my husband and I fell asleep in our living room, on reclining armchairs. I was asleep and dreaming that someone was coming down the hall. Suddenly I woke up and was sure I did because my husband was snoring soooo loudly. I thought about shaking him awake so we could go to bed but the effort didn’t

Me too! Old houses are my JAM! Would love to live in one. I think.

Late to the party, but ready to be spooked!!!!

Starred for the gif, not b/c I know what you’re on about. LOL

Love your salvia! Looks great! I love color in a garden. My mom was mostly big on green plants... ferns, ivy type things. I’m not very good with flowers and things, but have been toying with the idea of planting a jacaranda tree. They look beautiful in pictures and I read that they can grow almost anywhere that

Carrie WAS the worst.

Father’s Day is always a bit of an ordeal cause my Dad considers himself the patriarch of the ENTIRE goddamn family and feels slighted if any of us dare do our own thing for our husbands or decide to celebrate with our SO’s family for once. This year, however, he and my mom took a trip down to deepest, darkest Mexico

Last week I got the craft bug in me, took out my old glue gun and made a wind chime out of sea glass I’d collected in Galveston over the years. It didn’t turn out as great as I would have liked, and even when the wind blows doesn’t “tinkle” as I’d hoped it would, but I’m still proud I finally did something with the

Some Lindsey Stirling. My kids love her music. Makes them wanna learn to play the violin.
