I didn’t hate it, but it was a particularly weak premier.

I’m willing to give it time. There were some promising hints that this could quickly devolve into a far more terrifying situation for all involved rather quickly - and it could be even more unsettling in the wake of Charlotesville.

Roanoke is great - but the less you know about it, the better - given it’s particularly unique and surprising approach to storytelling, a lot of the horror is in not knowing what to expect. It is definitely the most unique season.

I loved Roanoke, too. I thought the experimental approach to the season actually worked quite well and it was, without a doubt, by far the scariest season; I loved it. Probably my third favorite season, after Asylum and Hotel.

Perhaps it isn’t, I’m not about to do a comparative analysis. It wasn’t meant as a complaint; I’m gay myself and I love to see both lgbt actors get prominent roles on big shows as well as lgbt issues and relationships being upfront. Ryan Murphy has been great in helping promote lgbt rights through his work - how

I agree - though I lack much knowledge of their many new ‘sister sites.’ The layout that they all appear to use, however, is just unbearable. I don’t understand why a site would be designed in a way that actually purposefully minimizes the number of stories we can click on and which makes it extremely difficult to

Hey, a whole 120 comments! I mean, two weeks ago there’d have been a good 800, but 120! That’s probably one of the last times this site will see so many comments.

No, that’s not what people mean when they talk about intersectionality.

As a PhD candidate in poli-sci I feel the need to hit anyone who spells it with a ‘y’ with a bag of moldy grapes!

My opinions on AHS seem so out of sync with most. I thought Roanoke was a largely successful experiement and I think it was easily the scariest season - with Asylum in distant second. I also loved Hotel, which I consider the ‘funnest’ season - Coven was a lot of fun too. The only seasons I really haven’t liked have

Before the Kinjapocalypse there would have been 1,000 posts on this review by now. Instead we have less than 75.

Thank you - that annoyed the hell out of me.

I really hate to see how much Kinja has affected the commenting community here - it was the best I knew of and one of the primary reasons for visiting AV Club. I also have always loved the content and even though it hasn’t changed substantively, the horrid presentation (or rather, the lack of any organized

Missandei is into guys who are unsullied by dicks.

I am also an uncle, but I do not find her sexually attractive in the least.

They didn’t. The entire wall didn’t come down - maybe a few thousand feet of it collapsed - the eastern most segment of the wall containing Eastwatch.

I thought it was relatively clear they survived - moreso than when Jaime sank into the Reach earlier in the season, in fact. They were running with a bunch of the wildlings behind them as the wall collapsed... then it stopped with only them standing on the part of the Wall that still stood.

I’m pretty sure they were running inland, so were on the part of the Wall that didn’t collapse. Tormund, last of the Wildlings.

Be parsimonious.

For all the problems, and what I see as a questionable decision to go live with this when it was still clearly a work in progress instead of waiting a few more weeks to fix the above list, I must commend y’all for being so incredibly attentive to the AV Club commenting community (seriously!).
