yes, and! each birth experience can be completely different. I’ve given birth four time. 1st one, both of us would have died without some quick thinking medical intervention. 2nd: that baby was *huge* but I mostly breathed through the pain. 3rd: the “thrasher”. 4th was lots of perfect medication :-D

I thrashed a lot during peak labor pains. My husband held me. I kicked a nurse by accident and she kindly but firmly pushed my leg away. so... ymmv.
