The previous owner sounds wonderfully pedantic! The 996 that got away was incredible. I’ve never felt more connected to a machine. The engine out back didn’t seem like a design or engineering quirk, it felt like who I was. Like I just had a big ass now and that’s just the way things were going to be.
Keep in mind that cabrios are on the market in higher numbers, thus their prices are lower. I went with a 99 coupe.
