The reason to turn on Airplane Mode is because your phone will continuously search for a signal while in the air and drain your battery.

This is really simple to understand. “Recall” is what the official NHTSA notice something needs to be repaired or changed is called. It doesn’t matter if it’s software, hardware, or thoughts and prayers. You are talking about the “Remedy” for the recall. 2 separate things. This is a recall whether you like it or not.

The term “Recall” is the piece of paper or online listing from NHTSA that says that something needs to be fixed. The fact that it can be done OTA or via physical visit is irrelevant, the fix is called the “Remedy”. So no, it’s not a hit piece. There is a recall. Period.

Incorrect. Pulling the handles shuts off fuel, hydraulics and electrical power. Push them back in and all the reconnects, engines can be restarted. What you describe requires the handles to be turned after they are pulled. That blows the fire extinguisher bottles and the engines won’t restart.

It’s a completely normal descent rate that you’ve experienced every time you’ve been on an airliner. You wouldn’t even notice it.
