Pretty much nailed all the stereotypes, fellow high speed aluminum tubing operator.

Can confirm. Probably 70% of them fit that profile.

Mercedes, how did he hurt you to warrant such treatment?

I’ve said it many times. FSD and the Robotaxi future Musk has promised is complete fantasy when the entire thing breaks when the person getting out of the car doesn’t close the door.

Today I learned that the Legend name is still being used. In Japan. Fuck your alphanumerics in the USA, Acura.

Jesus. What the fuck?

I’ve watched it a couple of times. Know what would have been safer? Just continuing to drive straight and not going into the shoulder. I’m actually very pro-Tesla. I think they make a great product, albeit poorly. AP is also a nice product that is not used the way it should.

Sweet. I bought a 2106 2 weeks ago. This could add a lot of excitement to the ownership experience.

I picked up one of the generic ones from eBay ($150 or so) a few years ago I while working on an extremely rusty BMW I bought for $500 here in NH had a couple bolts I broke or couldn’t budge.

That’s not what happens. There is still the Magnussen Moss Warranty Act. They can void the warranty on the 12V battery that was killed, maybe other electronic components, but it has to be proven to be related to that inverter use. A suspension component not working isn’t related.

Fair point. Plugging in as you get out of the car is far too much responsibility.

You’re an adult, this should not happen. When it gets to 1/4 put gas in the damn thing. Also, this wouldn’t have happened with an EV, every time you leave the house it has a full charge.

With the tech where it is, an EV and a gas car are the perfect combination, and what we have (Rav4 and a Bolt). The thing keeping the Bolt from being useful as an only car is the charging. It takes a long time, but even beyond that I never know if a charger is going to be working when I get to it, so we don’t even

There’s your answer, faster speeds and in one you needed heat, the other you needed AC. Unfortunately, I spend a lot of time with my wife at a hospital that is 80mi away, and when it’s really cold ie last time we went down it was 10F, I drove her there, sat in the car with the heat running for 3hr (thanks to Covid I’m

We bought a 2020 Bolt in September. On the highway at 65-70 it did 220 before the temperature dropped and we started having to use the heat. Mixed driving it was 270. Chevy was pretty conservative when stating their range.

That is a gorgeous paint color along with a horrible interior color. My 2007 997 is that same tan inside and it is the worst part of the car. Ugly, it reflects off the windows, bleh.

Those stories are true. I have a Bolt and I’m in New England. I rarely have to charge outside the home, but the number of times I’ve pulled up to a station to find the cord cut and missing or the station just not working are far too high. I wouldn’t set off on a long journey with anything but a Tesla at this point.

I’m about 10mi from where I grew up. It was a lot easier in the 90s. Mom too the places I used to ride are now illegal unless you have a license plate, which isn’t a problem for me on my KTM 300, but my kid can’t legally go down those and I don’t want to go without him. There are still 10 or so riding areas around

Doubt it. I decided last summer was the time to teach my son how to ride a dirt bike like I did when I was 12 (same as he was). All the day and sleep over camps were closed, pools all closed, parents didn’t want their kids out playing with other kids etc and my kid was sitting around. What better time to get back into

I agree with you from the range, handling and performance standpoint. The Bolt drivetrain in the back of a small roadster would be fantastic to drive. The thing it misses for me is the feel, sound and character of an engine. I’m fortunate enough to have access to a 911, and 90% of the enjoyment of that car is the
