Nothing wrong with playing a joke on your kid. In private. Publicly (internationally in this case) is where it crosses the line.

100% agree. Being a parent means protecting your children. This is the opposite.
The GTI is a far better choice in every way over the GLI based solely on the fact that one is a hatch back and one is not. Performance be dammed if you still have to drive around a sedan.
It doesn’t require it, but if you want the full power output, it needs premium. Exactly like your GTI.
*ahem* hammered assholes.
Based on ads around here, sticker at 35k to 45k means actual sales price at 27k-38k. Seems reasonable.
Agreed. It is just cheap looking. Even just debadging it so it had no badges would be fine.
True story. I was warned before that first diaper, it still made me question if life was worth living.
What this comes down to is these girls had a choice. Pay hundreds of dollars for a ticket, or put on pants. The random person who decided to manufacture outrage has put these girl’s pass benefits as well as those of the person who is employed by United at risk, and it is in the pass riding guide that they can go so…
Back when these were new the local BMW shop was giving them away free with the purchase of a new BMW. My father bought a BMW, and turned down the LeMans.
Good question, it’s been 6 years. I got it from the parts counter at the Subaru dealer a week after I bought the car and read that the bar would help. I went in with a part number I found on some forums, hate to tell you to google it, but that’s the best I’ve got.
Did the same on my 2011 Outback, made the car feel much more responsive, and got rid of a weird wandering sensation in crosswinds and on the highway. Best mod ever for that car.
Starred for “Dapper as fuck”. I now aspire to slip this into everyday conversation.
This. Moved from a 2 door MK5 GTI to a 4 door MK7 GTI. I’m glad I did for the ease of getting things into and out of the back (like my kid), but I did not anticipate the difference in B pillar placement. It’s not a huge difference, but it’s noticeable in traffic.
You are doing God’s work.
Pardon me sir, Hecho en Mexico.
Like anything, an individual’s enjoyment is mostly up to their desire to enjoy something. Huge fan of TG for the last 10 or so years, I also really enjoy GT even if some parts make me cringe.
It’s the stupid electronic brake, not the cable and handle like the GTI.
The DSG feels nothing like your old one, I had an 06 TDI and 14 TEI with DSG. Both had that wire behavior you describe where you give it throttle and it sits there then decides to go. The DSG in the GTI and R are a dream. Very smooth and takeoff immediately when giving it gas.
It’s one of the reasons I bought a GTI over the R. Having owned it for 5 months now, I wish I hadn’t gotten the sunroof. Apparently there are a large number that are defective and have cracks in the tray, creating a sweet interior water feature. The dealer fixed mine quickly, but the damn thing still rattles when it…
