Dayuuim Deadspin. Gotta give it you this is some great muckraking, and journalism. ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC may want to take notes.

really? why? i find twitter to be the only social media platform that is even remotely useful.

twitter and publications like Grantland aren’t two of a type, they are completely different things

What twitter needs is a way to enhance this experience. I’d love to be able to filter my timeline based on what sport or team or various other beat the person I’m following is generally associated with. Once upon a time they had “lists”, but lists sucked. If they can find a way to do it better, it’ll help clear away

I have to say, I really like twitter. I follow a lot of my favorite authors, beat writers, and friends (the interesting ones at least).

I like your logic. I’m going to claim Sidney Crosby raped me in order to get the Pens to cut him just before playoff season.

I’m torn. Part of me wants to be annoyed that their smug asses felt the need to interrupt a game. But part of me is also glad that at least they’re directing that energy towards something of consequence in the real world*, and not a banner saying “Indy Has Bad Luck DURR HURR!!”

I was really hoping it’d read “NFC South Participant.”

Chelsea. They won the league at a canter last year.

Sorry, I was busy clicking on Top 15 Cheerleader Uniform Fails.....what were you saying?

And this is true just about everywhere on the net, not just ESPN. Grantland is further proof that quality writing is not a lucrative commodity to the masses. It’s a shifting (eroding?) marketplace of illiteracy and short attention spans. Check any site that posts their article clicks, and you’ll see longform top out

Nah, they’ll find a way to monitize. If Yahoo can make a Bills/Jaguars game profitable, they can do the same, only five times better.

Pretend for a moment that I am clueless and doddering. Is her third camp Miller, the writers, or the military-industrial complex?

I tore mine with pretty much that same movement during a sparring session and managed to convince myself I had just pulled it. I limped around for like a week and ended up nearly severing my Achilles. Don’t ask me why, but there’s some kind of brain disconnect when it comes to non-contact injuries, I think. Like “It

I’ve worked in Indonesia and Venezuela and if you think you’re getting anything done (even as an American company) without a little money to grease the wheels then you’re living in a fantasy land. Cultural and systematic corruption will not be stopped because you decide not to participate. You just won’t get the job.

Below the comments are a series Deadspin/gawker articles interspersed with ‘Promoted Articles’(read ads) formatted like native content. Not sure why the actual DS article would always be the same, but I am really hating the bullshit (actual) clickbait nonsense.

It’s refreshing to see an argument between a black man and a white guy with guns end without any casualties.

Ed Hochuli is, I believe, a lawyer by his full-time profession. So I would have to assume he is lying here.
