Any reason for digital? This isn’t a wagon that seems to call out for something that modern (and generally digital is a poor choice for a gauge, because human factors).

I noticed that too. The Japanese seem to suffer from a racial inferiority complex. Their anime characters mostly look western too. I think it drives them to work harder though.
