It doesn't take long to work it out, I'm sure I get it wrong from time to time but it doesn't take long to read a show well enough to get it mostly right.
TV drama is a group effort and many have patches of greatness mixed in with bland yawnfests. FF or pause maybe I'll come back to it makes sense then.
If a show

Episode 4 is the most entertaining, well written and well acted episode so far. At no stage did I hit pause or FF which I do on most shows - indeed other episodes of this show that take too damn long getting to the point.

And that inadequacy driven deprecation would get a bloke carved into bite sized chunks in any civilized part of the world.

The simplest way to describe this show is low-rent Sense8 - except Sense8 engaged viewers from the first scene and Falling Water just confuses without offering up a single reason to put in the hard sweat required to eradicate confusion.
The most apparent reason for audience reluctance to work at the show is that as

If I was to guess about it would be that whoever owns the rights to this show believes it not likely to last long on commercial TV so they're gonna squeeze out every cent while they can by using whatever talent they can get - cheap.

I'm enjoying it- as far as episode 7 anyhow, but prefer to regard the Farrell clan as a metaphor rather than a reality.
Let's face it, even hiding away in backwoods Kentucky that clan would have been invaded by academic anthropologists 40 years ago. Anthropologists who would have 'liberated' the women & raped the
