You know how sometimes when you try to be helpful you end up looking like a know-it-all asshole instead? Me either.
Anyway, when I started copying and pasting to html on a regular basis, I learned that pasting with ctrl + shft + V eliminates the pesky formatting problems (i.e. spaces).
I remember at the height of Leslie Nielsen's popularity it seemed as if he got it into his head that he was actually funny instead of just being a good comedic actor. As memory serves, his version of funny consisted of carrying around a machine that made varying 'fart' noises.
That's weird.
What They Were Probably Promoting on Carson (17 May 1989):
To be fair, they are a Division 1 school with an above average football program. I knew it based solely on that fact.
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is hosting a political special debuting on Hulu (free this week!!!), and they showed a clip on Conan's show tonight. I can't do it justice, but it involved chaining up a dessert case before Chris Christie's visit. I'm sure it will be on YouTube.
Two Broke Girls, One Cup.
"It ain't cool bein' no jive turkey so close to Thanksgiving."
I recently saw Jurassic Park III for the first time. It's crazy that Sam Neill not ending up living happily ever after with Laura Dern made me as sad as it did. Spoiler alert?
Interestingly, Nicholas Cage is more of a Bernie Sanders kind of guy. (I have absolutely no idea if that's true, and frankly I don't care)
My first reaction was "Wait a minute, I don't think there's an antelope named Shammy". I made my way to "chamois" at the last second.
What They Were Probably Promoting on Carson (16 Oct 1987):
Remember how the Danny Trejo Brady Bunch commercial was mildly amusing the first time they showed it and then became less and less so until you ended up hating it? It's going to be another long year with Willem Dafoe in a dress.
UNSURPRISING!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently New Hampshire voters can tell the difference between an empty podium and John Kasich.
I'm not a big DWJ fan either, which is unsurprising considering I have never been a big fan of his father and Jr. seems to be a carbon copy. That said, I think he did a good job in the episode.
Great direction / camera work with switching between Samberg and Wayans Jr. with the alternating lines of the song. You realize that Charles is missing a second before the characters do.
I'm a sucker for the physical comedy. I laughed really hard when Charles was getting slapped silly: "I'm the only one who got slapped!"
Yup, May 22 was the final show.
