I really do hope they publish 2-3 books to bring a closure to SGU. That's the only thing I can pray for at this time.

Me neither, somehow I feel I've seen it all before. I think these days many scifi fans are after something deeper than just an adventure that involves invading aliens.

I do not classify super-hero movies as space movies. Sure, Lantern goes out in space at some point to find his friends, but that's not inherently a space-driven movie. It's a "fantasy super-natural/hero" one. I want a space opera movie. I haven't seen a good one since Serenity in 2006, and Star Trek in 2009.

So. Not a single space movie then?!? I feel terrible about this. :(

Yes, I believe that Rush pushed the button remotely to freeze Brody.

I personally do not like "V". I haven't miss an episode for two reasons though: hoping to get better, I love scifi too much to stop watching it now that it's in so limited supply on TV. I believe that V does not worth a 3rd season though, it doesn't engage me in any way. The writing, the cinematography, the effects,

Apparently not all functionality is there. This plugin is a hack trying to go around Chrome's API limitations. Chrome may change its code at any time and this will just break too, because it's not using the standard API but workarounds. It's a hack.

The reason I refuse to go Chrome is because it doesn't have the right hooks in place to run something like NoScript. The kind of security Chrome provides is not as extended as Noscript in some places. For example, if you follow a bit.ly url on twitter and you don't know that its javascript code might add you to a list

I love Vimeo! It's THE place to watch quality videos, and most importantly, the place to easier find the good videos (youtube also has most of these videos, but it's much harder to find the good from the bad stuff).

The actor is working on a different show now, as a lead no less, that could complicate things bringing him back, I guess.

Actually, quality is pretty bad, worse than other cameras from mobile devices, e.g. the iPhone 4, some Nokia & Android phones. There is a lot of sharpening and loss of detail, even if you consider Youtube's re-encoding at 720p — comparatively to re-encodings from the other mentioned devices.

Thank you, appreciated! Stay in touch! :)

These formats are simply the files from the iPhone/iPad/iPod cameras, and maybe support for some small digirecorders, like the Sony Webbie, that record in low bitrate. Everything else doesn't work. Converting the files from other cameras doesn't work inside the iPad, because VLC (or other converter) can not save the

Sorry for the syntax errors, I was watching a movie while typing this... I can't edit my comment anymore, so here are two fixes:

The results he got were to expected, and I don't understand why this is any big surprise to anyone. The iPad iMovie version has other problems that it can't deal, while the Mac version CAN.

Well, Mossberg does not do filmmaking, it's more of a video blog. Pogue's videos on NYTimes are more interesting, but then again Pogue is in to video, so creating funny videos with punch is part of what he does. I like watching Mossberg's videos though, I like the guy, it's like he's simply talking to you about his

Those folds are very important in order to put the iPad in two different positions: 75 degree angle for movie watching, and about 40 degree angle for typing. It's ingenious actually.

She writers her own music and lyrics, yes. That's the only thing that saves her in my eyes, the fact that she's actually capable of writing music (in contrast to any American Idol, Aguilera, Spears, Rihanna who can't write music). I believe she's got talent, she's just too much into pop, where 95% of the song is all

In 1995 I used to work for an AI project (a small software company trying to create as "true" AI as possible, rather than neural nets). I can tell you that AI is not coming any time soon. In 1970 they said we would have AI by 2000. In 1980 by 2010. And so on. If we will get AI, we will get it via the "natural"
