The thing is, a purchase is an exchange where both parties CAN be happy—no one has to walk away mad. Buy something great at a price that feels fair & you’re over the moon.
I’m playing through Breath of the Wild right now & I keep thinking that it has so much personality. It’s not afraid to be weird—like Hestu the dancing broccoli is just WEIRD. But Hestu is also charming and fits into the world because the aesthetic and the worldbuilding come together in a really cohesive way.
I listened to the audio and the narrator was... probably not the best choice. He sounds really UPBEAT about everything and the tone doesn’t really suit the material.

The Dragon Age news in this article is what killed me. I’ll buy endless DLC for a game I like—especially if, like with Inquisition, each slice includes some neat story content. But shelving story elements for ‘game as a service’ stuff? Ugh ugh ugh.

Dragon Age is my favorite BioWare franchise & since Inquisition came out they’ve lost their head writer (Gaider), creative director (Laidlaw) and now Darrah? That’s pretty huge. And these assurances about how story will still matter are just... scary.…
The books do have a lot more kings & queens. Because they all want a piece of Ciri.
In the books, where Geralt is a character and not a Player Character, he wins less and fails more. I mean, really, the whole novel cycle is (a little like Wild Hunt) about his attempts to find/protect Ciri & he does not succeed.
