I would use the lesser known characters and have the A-Listers as cameos or guest appearances like Stark and Dr. Strange in Spider-Man.

James Mangold could have said anything about his take on the Swamp Thing and 98% of the audience would be fine because nobody knows anything about this character.  My interest in Swamp Thing is that John Constantine came out of it.

At this point, I would settle for a sanitized Boba Fett where he uses his skills to help folks out of jams but has to constantly move from town to town as he’s being chased by an agent of the New Republic (who is the only one who thinks Boba Fett is alive).

I think the problem with today’s franchises is that studio’s push really hard for it vs letting it grow organically (ie F&F, and M:I). I think the only reason Marvel was able to get away with this was because they were the first and we had no expectations even after the first Avengers movie came out.

Meh. I go to these conventions for the marketplace and artist’s alley and also trying to get exclusive items.  Waiting in line to get into these presentations were never something I wanted to do.
