What separates Nolan and Burton’s Batman movies from the DC Murderverse is that the earlier movies are good movies and Snyder’s are not good movies. So even if you find complaints in how the characters are treating compared to Marvel, at least they’re high quality films on their own merit.

The Auteur model can work just fine as it did with Burton and Nolan but just like any other type of monarchy, its totally dependent on the vision of the person in charge.

Exactly this. It isn’t that people need to see their heroes “In all their glory” its that people need to see their heroes in a competent film with a coherent story.

This is mostly true. We didn’t exactly train the Taliban exactly (they didn’t come together until the 90's) we did train their predecessors the Mujahadeen and other Islamic fighters. So we trained bunch of groups and people who would form the Taliban after the Soviet invasion was over.
