Woah. I was commenting on the customer service industry aspect of her question. And the rest of customer service people are incredibly low paid who are equally doing service. Tip-based positions are only one aspect of the customer service industry.

Replying to promote.
I'd look for a new job if they are relocating you with no consideration about extra parking or public transit costs, then maybe you aren't super secure in your position- and I say that as I have been there. Spending a significant more of your disposable income when you were hired at one office is pretty unfair. Most…
Sure. You just stick it in for 1 second and get a reading. Much quicker and imho, less of a hassle than orally.
Eh.. I have found oral readings to be less than accurate for myself. And I have found rectal readings to be accurate and less of a hassle then finding the right position in the mouth.
Tips for coffee shops are not expected as tipping restuarant workers. In most states, restaurant workers are making 2.50 an hour and tips get them up to 8-10 an hour. Most service jobs are not living wage jobs... it isn't on the consumer to make every service job a living wage.
Eh. People make such a fuss about restaurant workers when customer service people at stores like Gap or CVS are making significantly less after the waiter is tipped.
That isn't true. Baristas are making 8-9 dollars at Starbucks, which is completely different then the restaurant waiter making 2.50 odd dollars an hour without tips.
Tipping is such a sensitive topic, yesh!
30% as a standard is ridiculous. Your boyfriend should not be giving you a side eye. Chefs are paid salaries and so should waiters/wait staff. I know there are some restaurants that flat out say that customers should pay a certain high percentage and I think that is pretty unfair. Restaurants, especially nice and…
I am not saying that you shouldn't tip for salon services. But salon workers are getting wages or a percentage of the profit. They have a stable wage unless they have no customers if they get a profit cut. Tipping at a salon is for good service while tipping at a restaurant is more or less paying the waiter and wait…
Salon workers make almost no money outside of tips? Most certified cosmetology people get a cut of the service paid for or are paid a wage and allowed to collect taxable tips. And I think it is a different situation then resturant workers making 2.41 an hour, although the resturant is required to pay them minimum wage…
Eh... Salon services are different from restaurant service. A lot of times the people doing your nails are the business owner, who should not be tipped because they get profits, or they are already being paid a regular wage or percentage of work done. I tip for salon services but it isn't the same logic as restaurant…
Make sure your underarms are dry and then take it. It can be off a degree under the arm. If it reads 100 degrees, it could be 101 degrees. I normally assume an extra degree. I have found under the arm readings to be a bit more accurate. Try taking both and see what they read.
Where are you taking your temp? Mouth themometers are not as accurate. Rectal or taking your temp under your armpit gives a better read.
Does anyone else here have vaginal discomfort and discomfort during urination after sex? I am pregnant so I thought it was a UTI but I have had vaginal discomfprt post having sex on Thursday and it just started to feel better today after pumping fluids. I wonder if it is a Ph issue?
I think 15% is pretty standard. On most dinner checks they put the recommended gratuity at 15% or 20%. When I worked in the restaurant industry, 15% was acceptable and anything over I considered a good tip.
You aren't responsible for the tip on your friend's separate check. Frankly, it is on you that you are making yourself responsible. Maybe you can admit that because you are in the restaurant industry you might be a bit more sensitive to this. Most waiters are making more than Wal-mart employees making 6 dollars an…
I'd be pissed off that he is making all the life decisions in your relationship. If you want marriage and kids, vocalize this. If you plan to marry or build a life together, you also get a say on how this goes down.
I have been in DC when the March happens. There are atheist or humanist pro-lifers at the March.. less common but akin to atheist anti-death penalty groups.
