Michael Emerson's secret in this series is that he is a muppet. His pupils are fixed so that he has to rotate his entire torso or tilt back his entire upper body to change the direction of his gaze.

TV shows don't happen in a vacuum. He is the show runner, and it is his job to give "notes" to the writer. Also, he allowed this episode to air. He was OK with all the ideas that were presented to him and didn't bat an eyelid.

Too bad Peter Capaldi came at the wrong time. Moffat is clearly completely drained of creativity. He's destroying Sherlock and Doctor Who.

Yup, I agree. The redcoats having meaningless meandering table talk was the most boring scene ever. And it seemed to go on forever.

If you actually took the time to watch Vicious, you wouldn't put it in any list whatsoever. That terrible show needs to be buried in the deepest parts of the ocean. Iwan Rheon and Ian McKellen are so wasted on that show.
