Actually, it opens a year after next year. Dolores’s uprising was in June 15 2052, roughly 34 years & 2 months before Arnold’s death (which puts it around April 2018). Which could be the window in which S2 premieres.

HBO programming boss Casey Bloys indicated S2'll likely launch in 2018. Makes sense, since they wanted to avoid last year’s problem, by finishing all the scripts before starting production, so they could shoot it in blocks, like Game of Thrones.
