Unrelatedly (pun somewhat intended), there’s actually a film where Hiddleston goes skinny dipping rather than just narrating it, Joanna Hogg’s Unrelated. Great film.

“Side note: I just checked wiki and “You make me wanna ...” was released TWENTY-THREE years ago!”

Yeah, that’s a great film, and Heller’s direction of it was wonderful. I just brought up Lupino and Arzner specifically because they were directing films in that era when Lolita was written and when Kubrick directed his film adaptation. Nowadays there are a lot more successful women directors (though still not

Make sure to stretch your calves first, though.

“How has every man (and it is all men, oops) who has directed an adaptation of this story said with confidence that it’s a love story?”

I can’t say what’s in her heart (no one can), but she’s certainly expressed more open anti-racism then Deen has. So, so far, she’s a-okay in my book.

She’s outstanding in the very underrated, cerebral science fiction film Never Let Me Go (based on the Kazuo Ishiguro book) and also wonderful in Inside Llewyn Davis and Mudbound.

I’m also amused that both Olyphant and Brown had major roles in the Scream franchise.

Not gonna lie, as great as everything else was about this episode, my favorite thing about it was Timothy Olyphant playing the marshal of a frontier mining town and W. Earl Brown playing the saloon barkeep.

I think instead Disney should make a film adaptation of Hyperspace Mountain, the reskinned version of the ride they sometimes have at Disneyland. I think that could be pretty successful as a movie.

I forgot you were still here. You may go now.

Sounds like great fun to me!

They have two options for sound. You can either play it over your radio, or connect to their wifi network and listen via an app.

I haven’t gone to a movie theatre since February. However, the Philadelphia Film Society created a pop-up drive-in theatre at the Navy Yard. They stacked a few shipping containers and then put a screen on them. So that’s been fantastic. I’ve gone to see several films there (including Tenet!), and next month they’ll be

For my money, Affleck's best performance was drunkenly ragging on Armageddon and Michael Bay on the film's commentary track.

My wife and I watched Marshall after Chadwick Boseman’s death, and I was surprised by how much I actually thought Gad was okay in that.

Yeah, I dunno, it just seems like the ‘joke’ is that it’s some kind of slam on Gad that the Wisconsin Dem Party hosted a reunion for the Princess Bride cast, but it falls pretty flat when Gad was there and reading for Fezzik.
