I forgot you were still here. You may go now.

For my money, Affleck's best performance was drunkenly ragging on Armageddon and Michael Bay on the film's commentary track.

My wife and I watched Marshall after Chadwick Boseman’s death, and I was surprised by how much I actually thought Gad was okay in that.

Yeah, I dunno, it just seems like the ‘joke’ is that it’s some kind of slam on Gad that the Wisconsin Dem Party hosted a reunion for the Princess Bride cast, but it falls pretty flat when Gad was there and reading for Fezzik.

Eh, I'm not going to say "too little, too late" to anyone getting off the sidelines and trying to get Trump out of office. I agree that it would've been much better to have won in 2016, as by this point Trump has done a lot of damage that will never be undone or will take years to undo. But at this point, I still

I wouldn't recommend watching more than two of the eight at the most, possibly three.

That’s fine. Hyperbole or not, I don’t think those films are particularly long by any standard. 2 hours is just not a long runtime.

The first Star Wars trilogy films are 121, 124, and 132 minutes. If she finds them boring and didn't like them, fair enough, but we're not exactly talking about Berlin Alexanderplatz here.

This is excellent news.

The movie really makes you feel Hank's desire to be rid of him.

To be clear, I don’t at all disagree that representation of all marginalized voices needs to increase both in front of and behind the camera in the film industry, Asian voices included. I just found the contrast between those two statements in the article amusing.

“Considering that Lang’s story is heavily impacted by his lived cultural experiences as a Chinese man, a film about his life should ideally include prominent involvement from creators that harbor intimate knowledge of (or, you know, have also lived) that experience. Instead...”

I suppose Seinfeld could get the same criticism, but it’s about a bunch of selfish monsters...”

I actually just went out to watch it last night. Not inside a movie theatre, of course, that would be suicidal. The Philadelphia Film Society set up an outdoor pop-up drive-in, which was a great way to see the movie. I can't see this being enough to really generate the profits needed for a big budget film, but

I agree that Mandy Patinkin was the MVP of the evening, but I would say Wallace Shawn was a close second. He infused every single line reading with such delightful energy.

Now playing

My first exposure to Dame Diana was as Lady Holiday in The Great Muppet Caper. She was the very picture of elegant authority and wit in what was always my favorite of the Muppet films (heists! Action! Models! That pool number!):

It's been several months. I'm sure the investigator is willing to meet via Zoom. If this hasn't happened, I don't see any way to justify it on Fisher's part.

Just one more thing: me too.
