Yes, very subtle.

I don’t disagree when a car is available across markets, but obviously not the case here.

Probably worth adding this thing is $135,000.

The little-known turbo S70/2

Lexus was leading (through a round of pitstops, not just from shuffling order) until they had a right rear tire explode and were getting phenomenal fuel mileage. Considering Lamborghini and Aston never led I bet they aren’t too unhappy.

I don’t think the Ford is applicable to 90s GT1. People keep making asinine statements like they’re going to drive the AMRB hypercar to LeMans, win overall, then drive home. Or McLaren’s Zac Brown (claims he’s a Le Mans fan and is a backer of a champion LMP3/2 team) who claimed if they go to LeMans in GT their car

As a Jelopik commenter and someone who shouts down anyone critical of Elon Musk I believe I’m qualified to tell you all this is akin to flushing 85million down the toilet. Toyota, BMW, and Mercedes are also rubes.

That’s not your perspective because you’re European it’s your perspective because you don’t know what you’re talking about. The France family, as in the people who own IMSA and NASCAR were benefactors of Action Express (drivers and team champions for three years in a row) to the tune of millions of dollars for years

This is so dumb it hurts. Acion Express was funded directly from the France family through the 2000s.

Sorry, wasn’t more explicit. Most all of sportscar racing contains pro-am classes. I don’t know if the Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge would technically refer to themselves as semi-pro or amateur, but they are certainly less “pro” than the Weathertech Sportscar Championship into which they feed.

CTCC is the feeder series to WTSCC and Ford (like Chevy/Stevenson before them) decided to run a factory team run by Multimatic with a factory driver and won the championship. They share the track with GT4 cars and lightly modified Altimas, Civics, Minis, Miatas, etc.

There is no service ahead of Sunday’s final stage

It puts into perspective just how big a hill Kia have to climb when you consider Lexus’ performance line produced one of the greatest road engines ever made and still has not been effectively able to compete.

It has a V12 derived from the same sort of engine Ferrari was running in Formula One at the time.

Hmm....

I hope there is a guy somewhere out there who is saving up to put Peugeot iOn bumpers on his and blow everyone’s mind.

Yeah, this wasn’t a budget based decision. The 2017 car was in its final stages so they will eat tens of millions in driver salary, Joest Racing’s 2017 operation contract, and Audi Sport aren’t firing any employees. They basically save entrance fees, logistic fees, and tire bills.

It was micro-aggressive

Right under the tailgate.
