With the rise and availability of sub-$100 and $200 Windows tablets, laptops, and desktops, are chromebooks even viable anymore, especially as they require the internet for functionality?

In most of the country, the answer to the title question would be "Purchase a firearm; learn how to use it." I'm not sure if that option's available to you, though.
I'm not telling anyone to censor themselves, buddy. Freedom of expression is not exemption from criticism. I just find it funny that the author would take such a lazy dig at an entire group of people in an article about questioning prejudices. Surely you can see the unintentional irony.
I appreciate the effort, but this is a pointless exercise. It's important to separate the character of Captain America from the symbol of Captain America. The character is Steve Rogers... typically blonde haired, blue eyed all around any guy USA pulled from 1940's propaganda comics. I'm sorry but characters are…
Yeah the same south that had valiant people smuggling the same slaves North. Way to treat an entire region as if they were a single group with a single set of beliefs, namely the one you want to project on to them.
Yep. Article author attempts to make commentary about racism, by making racist comments.
The generalization lies in the lazy snipe Luke took at people from the American South, which pretty much undermines the entire point of the article. "Oh, of course they're intolerant; they're from Alabama." Might as well throw in an incest joke.
It's a stupid comment and I say that as an Indian. I totally agree with you.
Others are from Alabama.
I'm openly admitting that I, a privileged individual born into the upper-middle class, have MAYBE (you never *truly* know why you're hired) benefited from these programs. The fact is that poor black kids from the ghetto don't become investment bankers. I would sit down at 'minority summits' with other people in the…
It's not that I have any major sympathy for them, I simply think that this type of programme often backfires, and leads to people being assumed to be employed just because of their race or gender, rather than their skills.
I was under the impression that affirmative action means that if you have two candidates who pass all the tests, have the qualifications/grades etc.., and one is white, one is black, or one is male, one is female, you always have to take the minority/woman. Is that incorrect?
Absolutely agreed. As an E Asian in the practice of law, there has been literally no advantage or distinction granted to my race. In fact, there is a detriment: the appearance of experience is still a tangible asset, so looking younger than the average practitioner of my age reduces initial credibility to the bench,…
So basically, if you're a standard middle-class straight white male, it's probably not worth applying for a job at Intel right now. On the one hand, I understand why these things happen, but on the other, I massively disagree with 'affirmative action' policies. I'm a black man in banking- I've massively benefited…
Equality cant ignore supply and demand though :) Im willing to bet there is not a huge market for it but i sure hope someone tries!
To *create* gender issues in games. There are no issues, if you want more women in games or a different type of woman then YOU make the games you want, do not try and change other people's art.
so this is what happens when a government runs out of things to spend money on.
