Why are people so worried about this? So a car made out of batteries shorted out and caught fire THREE WEEKS after a crash test. Do people who buy electric cars crash them and then hibernate inside or something?

I believe it works better. There are big garbage plants that do this, then sort out the metal and recycle it.
