You are 100% correct. My son asks me to buy him older games constantly because of a cool mod he saw someone online playing with. Modders deserve more respect. 

Mods made these games enjoyable years after their release and kept them in people’s minds, and looking at the remasters they can’t even do what the modders do. Is this just to try to hide any sort of evidence that other people are doing their job better than they are?
