Negatory. The dongle is a digital player, not a Bluetooth receiver. You tell Spotify to connect to it and then you tell it what to play. The device itself, on behalf of Spotify, downloads the original audio track (mp3, wave, flac, whatever) and sends it out to the corded speakers.
