Some people (like me) prefer logical consistency in storytelling, while others are more interested in emotional insight, or just surface-level thrills and pleasures. None of these is the “correct” way to enjoy things, and not every show is obligated to try to meet all of these things. I’m still enjoying Westworld even

“Killing Newt and Hicks was an unforgivable decision that irrevocably tainted the rest of the film”

“Earn ends up somewhere strange and thinks its bullshit”-

The Casino Royale opening marks the beginning of a new James Bond era with gorgeous animation and a great song by Chris Cornell.

Yep. Never watched Community, but I didn’t even recognise him in the last episode of Atlanta. Dude’s definitely got range.

Who the fuck cares?

Yes. I think Quiet Place is better than Green Room but Quiet Place also has the silence factor going for it. The first half of the movie is soundless. So soundless that I stopped eating my popcorn and snowcaps because of how loud my chewing sounded in the silent theater.

Thanks for the scheduling info. I’ll fill in my data sheet about you that doesn’t exist.

The Evangelical beliefs seem to be built around picking the worst option at every turn and then being very smug about it. Like they don’t align to any part of the Bible and their beliefs all seem to contradict themselves until you realize that the main link is that everything they do is the awful choice.

When do we get this level of analysis for TMBG’s “Flood,” which was the most impactful album of my youth and therefore should be of interest to everyone?

Counterpoint: Don’t. Do literally anything else. To the extent that the SOTU has ever been important information (it hasn’t), this is unlikely to tell us anything we need to know. This is one instance where we can all, for our own peace of mind if nothing else, ignore him.

I can’t stand to hear him speak. If he says anything of consequence, I’ll read it in a transcript later. I can never stand to hear him speak.

I think she was trying to be helpful, then realized how dumb she was being and apologized.

Can’t read this now since I’ve still got another episode to catch up on before this one, but I just wanted to stop and say thanks again this year. Your recaps of this (and LaToya’s for GLOW) are the ideal and the best on the site by a wide margin. They’re insightful and considered. They often augment the experience of

I don’t know. I laughed, but it kind of took me out of the episode a little. It was a pretty intense seen and, I mean, only a childish idiot would speak like that.

Me knew we would be vindicated for buying cheapest possible TV one of these days! Samesang good brand, right?

The number of people who are too dumb to realize that something is wrong with their motion-smoothing-enabled tv is the #1 data point that should have tipped us off that Trump would win.

I don't believe FFXIII was a success narratively at all. The entire game's story is annoying cryptic and lacking in any sort of genuine human pathos from the majority of the cast to make anyone give a damn about them.

Dude, aren't you tired of defending the game to such an overzealous extent?

Sorry, Luke, I don't give a shit if this guy is a "die-hard RPG fanatic." XIII was not terrible, it wasn't even bad, it was one of my favorite games ever made. I'm so sick of this bullshit. Let's see what he has to say. I can promise you that it's not even close to the intelligence shown in the Star Wars reviews.
