You pretty much made my argument for me. Walmart provides something that helps people that can't find work now. That's just one way that Walmart benefits people ESPECIALLY in this economy. Good.

Well, to be fair, once again I have to say I understand what you are saying and respect it. I can't add much but I can say this:

When you ridicule someone as "...invested in your bullshit" you pretty much are attacking him. First, it's not "his" bs as you put it. It's John Holdren's and he merely revealed it. Second, you imply he's invested or obsessed and thus are making characterizations, when again he merely brought to light some very

Well, first of all I would question the overpopulation assumption to begin with. Some socialists and communists (I am absolutely NOT calling you one) have been claiming that for years and it's yet to materialize. There have been fear of massive starvation for decades without it actually happening. Now, don't

"Walmart is a cancer on this society..." Well, if that's what you are choosing to believe I don't think a discussion on this subject will change your mind. Your perspective is so tainted that facts probably won't pursued you.

Science has been wrong many times, that's why it keeps getting corrected. We keep updating the base of knowledge. And that's a good thing. But comparing science to religion based on only science terms is flawed. This is like comparing economics to culinary arts. Two different things with different measurements,

So you admit that those aren't Republican solutions. Great, we are making progress. Admitting is only the beginning though. Now we have to deconstruct the propaganda that you've been indoctrinated by over the years. So, if Republicans didn't say "kill all non white people, do you think perhaps your view of "the

Just because a business doesn't want to unionize does not mean anything. No business has to unionize. Unions have pros and cons. Simply not being involved with the Unions does not make a company an awful employer.

If the science is still in question then it's not a war on science, it's an open debate...Oh wait, never mind, I forgot, the debate's over. We already know all we are going to know about the climate, how life came about, and the other things. Go about your business. Nothing here to see but divisive insults towards

Do you want any of them enacted? Which ones would you be ok with?

Funny thing Kyle, that's exactly what the Republicans want. They want slaves so they can stay rich. Oh my, please tell me that was an April Fool's joke or that you were high.

I pray that's not your real suggestions for solutions? Is that really the only other choice that liberals can come up with? Either John Holdren's forced sterilization and forced abortions or we pick out people and kill all non white people? That's your contribution to this discussion?

Actually, that's not true. Walmart is a huge source of jobs and upward mobility for many people that would otherwise not have many options. They have great healthcare as well. It's not a good example. Now if you said, "Walmart puts local ma and pa shops out of business and that's a bummer" then I would agree with

John Holdren wrote a book on this stuff, and you are attacking the poster that revealed it?

Queue the John Holdren defense force! You would be amazed how many people would defend this guy and his statements about global warming on this site. All the questions he was asked about global warming were defended by saying, "yeah, all those things happened in the past before man, but now it's man's fault." It's

I tend to disagree with your opinions but you explained yourself well and sincerely. That you took the time to put together a well crafted response and not resort to the typical insults is appreciative (of course ignoring the "mental condition" comment). I do understand where you are coming from and what you are

That! Very well put.

I am not a working scientist, however, I am enthralled by documentarties and science shows. I guess I am one of the target audience. I prefer to watch and see than to listen. I listen to a lot of podcasts, but not science ones. It might be worth it for me to take a look at what's available in audio, but just to

"...because they were the "bad guys"' I think that's an exaggeration. It's also fair to acknowledge that many if not most of the scientific breakthroughs were made by religious people also. To forget all the Christians, Jews, and Muslims (as well as others) that discovered, tested, and created the scientific method
