I’ll agree that Trek is better on TV. I do think there can be a place for films as well, but it’s a much tougher needle to thread as evidenced by the films we’ve had so far. Along with classics like TWoK, TUC, and TVH we’ve had some real stinkers like Generations, Into Darkness, and Nemesis.

I’ve had the Ultra-HD option for a couple months and the amount of times I watched an Ultra-HD stream doesn’t really justify the expense. Also, there really isn’t much difference from the regular stream. It’s not like 480p to 1080p difference. Just a little sharper. 

This. Speaking as, for better or worse, a lifetime fan of Doctor Who: if crap SFX were a barrier to telling a compelling story, it would be a smaller and sadder universe.  Worry less about pixel alignment and worry more about characters, motivations and dialogue.

It really sounded like they were trying to kick in the Horner themes when the Titan was heading out of the Spacedock, and I was kinda disappointed when they didn’t.

Given just HOW awkward his neck/chin looks in the suit in general (and the stunts the character is performing in the trailer, despite his age), I’m wondering if the suit functions similar to the Kindom Come one, where it’s both powered armor and a medical brace apparatus.

If it was truly “once and for all,” they’d recast Amanda Waller. As it is, it looks like Gunn is planning to keep whatever he likes about the DCEU and will retcon everything else. I think it’s worth noting that Crisis on Infinite Earths largely did the same thing by “hard resetting” Superman and Wonder Woman, but…
