An often overlooked car that has aged well is the second gen MR-2.
Its now almost 35 years old having debuted in 1989 as a 1990 model.

The 2nd gen Montero / Pajero takes the cake for this one for me. Muscular profiles and a handsome front end, not to mention that it’s was one of the last over-engineered piece of machinery coming out of Mitsubishi.

I actually think that if they re-released the Honda Element now, it would do well. 

I’m going to vote for my first car, the Merkur XR4Ti. while the greenhouse is a bit tall, it’s still aerodynamic enough that it still looks good out in today’s traffic. (Though I prefer the 85-86 rims to these 87 rims.)

I’ll be an outlier, here - the VW Vanagon Synchro. It’s decades old, yet still looks great, today, and predicted much of the current overlanding craze, in a package that remains highly competitive, even today.

I think Honda has created a lot of enduring styling: AP2 S2000, 3rd Gen Prelude, 1st gen Passport

The Honda Element was pretty divisive when it came out, with some loving its functional utility and others calling it ugly, unfinished, and looking like a refrigerator box. I thought it was brilliant then, and even more desirable now with the fold-up rear seats, b-pillarless suicide doors for easy loading, hose it out…
