I grew up on an “empty country road.

Jalopnik style book requires obvious errors/typos to drive user engagement

Came here for this. Was not disappointed.

Oh, the humanity!

I have been to the one at Moffett Airfield and they are huge

Ooh, I hope he managed to shoehorn in a comment about absentee fathers in black households!

My mom is the same way. Hers has been almost flawless in the 14 years she’s had it. But rust is finally starting to seep its way in and she hates everything she’s look at so far.

It’s a bit like the CUV version of Honda’s own Pacific Coast 800 motorcycle. A little gawky, a little ahead of its time, good utility, a bit of cult appreciation now, and maybe an idea that could come back.

A couple things never get mentioned in articles about the Element perhaps tied to it’s demise... 1/ Mileage is lackluster for a small SUV but the Element is not that small. It’s as big Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, mileage is proportional really but visually the expectation is that it’s small = 35 mpg, not 20 ish. Any

The demographics in my neighborhood seems to be drawn towards theses, there is like 6... I’m not a huge fan but more unique than all the generic SUVs so we need more vehicles like this.

“You make one silver coin, I make ten silver coins. It is fair!”

If you’re talking about that ECamper poptop - by the time you put that on, you’ve basically reduced your available payload to a not-too-heavy driver and a six pack of beer...

Still salty about the Fit, too.

Element Type R anyone????

I was Honda’s target demographic in 2006: single, mid-20s, avid cyclist, always on the go. And yes, I did in fact buy, in 2006, a brand-new Honda Element EX-P, in Nighthawk Black Pearl and with a manual transmission.

It’s “dammit” not “damnit.”

I agree. I know several people who have one now and would replace theirs immediately with another one.

i like mine. its roomy, stock stereo is pretty dang nice. with the back seats removed i can cram so much shit in it. its just a little loud and the mpg is low. if they could make a new hybrid one with low 30's mpg instead of low-mid 20s and drop the interior sound levels 5db or so id buy another. and i really dont

Why wouldn’t they shorten the train to make it lighter and therefore faster.  And put a cold air intake on it

The Element was ahead of its time.  Bring it back!
