OK, I feel you. Ours came to us lightly used. With no license plate brackets. Three months. She thinks maybe possibly this week. Maybe.

I’ve run it on the quarter against friends and done a couple of track day laps at Portland International. It’ll hang with it’s peers and I don’t find it squishy at all. It'll push if you get stupid, but it's far from sloppy. We also got the eurorail cloth interior. Not plush by standard definition.
Mixed. Some cheap plastic where you’ll feel it. We got black cloth and it’s great. The leather they offer isn’t my favorite. Our goal was a sunroof and it’s pretty much base save for that. We love it for what we use for.
Careful, folks. Last time this crew started lamenting about a great car that nobody buys, I wound up with a Buick wagon in the driveway...
No idea...good question. Numbers seem about right
I think it’s clumsy on a good day. Especially around town. It begs finesse.
So good.
Thanks. I needed that. :-)
Here in Portland, OR, some of us formerly bebearded hippies are moving to mid-century ranches in the suburbs. Our optimism is returning. We’re getting haircuts. Fixing our own coffee. Maybe finding a job if the trust fund is floating low.
edit: it is a dual clutch, so it’s linear, but it’s not in the same ballpark as VWs. And the rear end has a limited-slip set up. It’s just a launch control away from being mildly exciting. Remember, we’re talking a full-size wagon.
OK, sorry folks, I know I’ve been pushing the TourX today since we recently added one to our fleet.
Real world? My wife is a social worker who likes to hog the passing lane and is too polite at 4-ways. She’s just glad it only has two pedals. As an upgrade from her 05 Forester, she can’t find fault in the transmission.
1. The only “nice” wagons are European, and you pay European prices for them.
Buick USA isn’t much better. They knew nothing about the car, weren’t helpful as we compared individual autos on the lot, and haven’t wanted to chat with us when we’ve brought it by with questions.
Just did. Loving it.
...bout time New England got its statehood. An injustice tardily righted... :-p
I have to agree with the complaints about the interior. Top of the dash is nice to the touch, but the spot that my right leg rests agains is heinous. Seriously bad. Hyundai bad.
Yep, the interior is awash in some bits of awful plastic. (Like on the inside of the tailgate where they didn’t bother to delete or even explain the unused velcro straps meant for the Euro-spec safety gear...)
