People will line out the door to buy these regardless of build quality - the fanbase is the same type of image-focused people who line up to buy the new iPhone every year. I used to own an 01 Type SH with a manual. It was a very special car and I adored it. That being said, I’d pay $12-15k MAX for one in todays looney toons car market. $50k buys plenty of cars far superior to the 5th Gen Prelude.

As good as they were, the Integra was better. And you can still find halfway decent ones in the $10k range, even with the crazy prices these days.

A ‘99 Prelude SH with a 5-speed is one of the best cars of that era I’ve ever driven. I’d gladly pay $10-12k for a great example of one.
