I don't think it's unheard of..there are definitely people who see tampons as sexual or as being a grown up thing. I remember in high school gym a girl asked my friend and I if we had one and we were both like "Uh..no.." because we didn't use them and she replied, "Ugh, you guys are so immature."

It truly is. I understand that the reality of it can be hard to grasp or even imagine and everyone deals with it differently, but I see comments like "lol, wonder who will play her in the movie" and I just wonder how these people deal with real life.

Are they though? Many of the comments are about how cool this is or referring to movies. I mean, I'm not expecting some nuanced discourse on here but I feel like some commenters just jump on the chance to be funny or ironic on pretty much any article. Maybe I spoke too soon about the gifs though.

That's extreme. Only she knows her reasoning but I highly doubt it has to do with anything more complex than personal revenge and solidarity for the women who have endured what she has. What the drug cartels and perpetrators of nonsensical violence against innocent human beings are doing, that you can call terrorism.

Even when separated into a "sexual violence" category, 300 seems to be a really low number. But I guess it's a bit pointless to speculate since there is no way of having an accurate number.
