I had a dream last night where Hillary won (thank god!) and was magnanimous to the Hairy Cheeto in her victory speech.

Most of the performers at Weeki Wachee are locals. It’s surprisingly competitive, but they don’t hire a lot of outsiders.

It’s so you can’t see their boobs.

Questioning mermaid sexual characteristics, logistics, and behaviours is a sure path to madness.

I came to see if this was about Weeki Wachee and although disappointed that they’re not actually mentioned, I am delighted to see that it’s expanded beyond there. Also “entrepremermaid” is amazing.

Can someone explain the rationale for mermaids wearing tops? I have never understood this from a zoological and evolutionary standpoint.

Just going to say that if you decide to apply to be a Weeki Wachee mer-person, the springs in Florida are 72 degrees Fahrenheit all year round. Those lovely gals and guys are tough!

I saw the Weeki Wachee mermaids at the Camden Aquarium last fall and it was amazing.

This is important because so many people encourage kids to hug or kiss people they might not want to - whether it’s an adult or other kid. I mean. The intent is not bad, it’s cute or charming.

I fucking love Unitarians. Open minds and no dogma. My aunt specifically chose a Unitarian minister to preside over her mother’s funeral so that there wouldn’t be all that Jesus-y nonsense, and it was lovely.

The Quakers too, don’t forget about the Quakers.

I’m proud my parents chose to raise us in the Unitarian Universalist church, because every time I dig around in feminist/anti-fascist/gay rights/civil rights history, there’s always a few Unitarians standing up for what’s right. We are not many, but we have had some amazing people share our banner.
