ok, it was a weird launch and should've been killed before it ever made it out of MS.

@Arsenal6: that's BS, I'm starting to think you're only here because you get paid to say this stuff.
@Arsenal6: Well, when I got the 3G, the call dropping wasn't the biggest issue, the big issue was calls going straight to voicemail even though I had full reception. I did take it in to Apple and was told this is probably a reception issue in my location.
@crikerat: exactly what I was thinking.
Well, out of the three big companies in this game, Apple, Google and yes, Microsoft. The only one who really understands the importance of developers is Microsoft.
I already rooted my Evo before, the guides on XDA were simple enough. This one kinda loses it towards the end with things repeated, it get's messy.
@Arsenal6: well, there are very very minor issues with some of the HTC Evo's, and HTC is dealing with it not denying it or blaming the consumers for using the device the wrong way.
@Martian Yeti: they should probably reshoot the iphone 4 ads
@ortizlgnd4: they'll just blame at&t for it
ok, I don't own an iphone 4 so I was ignoring all of this bad reception issue, but the statement that gripping any phone like that will cause reception to drop intrigued me, so I tried it with my Evo.
@Adam Dachis: Even google uses ActiveSync for gmailandroid sync, so maybe it is better than IMAP if you want more than email.
The real problem is that if you hold the iphone securely so it doesn't drop, you will lose reception...
It's not funny, if anything, it's reassuring.
@BrknPheonix: when on duty, a police officer shouldn't expect privacy. Twisting laws that were meant for one thing and using them for another is wrong even if it's coming practice, but in this case it's gone too far.
I thought he was getting the chair. It is Texas after all...
@pixelsnader: @fx57: that's the only think I like better on the DroidX, it comes with 8GB built in and a 32GB card (which is a great deal for a 200$ phone). If I had to pick between that and the Incrdible, it will be a hard choice
iphone fares well? are you kidding? for 120$ more, over 24 months, Evo users get unlimited, uncapped, data and free calls to any mobile on any network. That's for just 5$ a month more.
Apple is obviously taking advantage of the standard contract length and upgrade eligibility and expects us to upgrade our phones every two years.
I just got two batteries and a second wall charger for my Evo, 12$ off ebay. It's amazing, you can actually replace the battery on this phone, I no longer have to worry about getting stuck with a dead phone (another reason I didn't use my 3G data plan that much on the iphone...)
@TheNimboo: Yea, I was waiting for the WP7, but it's too far, so I went with the Evo. I'll probably end up getting a WP7 phone as well, for dev reasons
