Kind of late commenting on here, but if anyone else is still reading, I had to say the idea of mothers and daughters both loving Dirty Dancing is so accurate. I remember my mother, aunts, sister and girl cousins seeing the movie back in the day. I myself thought it was a dumb movie for girls. Not sure I've changed

I don't mean this in a snarky way at all, but what did the event event do to change history? Do people consider it to be a big step forward in bringing sexual harassment to light? It certainly didn't prevent his from being confirmed.

Hollywood made a movie about Clarence Thomas? I wonder if he is shown in a positive light?

I almost did this on ER, or at least, something made me realize I was getting tired on it. I was starting to lose interest anyway as old character left and new ones took their place, so I was on the way to stop watching altogether.

Not sure a fictional death really made me quit a show ever, but the depature of Smits from NYPD did lead us to his two replacements who fluctuated between bad and mediocre (Rick Schroeder, then Mark-Paul Gosselaar). It wasn't the same after that.

I know she doesn't dictate the character in this movie, but on SNL the players usually come up with their own persona. And the "I'm yelling and mad" bit just seems like cheap comedy without an actual joke. And there's no race component to it. I just don't find her funny.

I don't see that any of them are really copies of the same roles from the original. Wiig has been talked about like she is the lead and her character looks the opposite of Venkman. And if McKinnon is the new "Egon", she's a wackier friendlier one.

I think I would like this movie much better if they did some later rewrites and make this be a sequel to the old movies. Not sure why it has to even be a reboot. Just say the originals disappeared 20 years ago or something. I don't want to see a five second cameo of Aykroyd as a cabbie.

More like Potts, I think. Except this one will have many jokes about how attractive he is.

Because the sexist world would consider her slutty.

I will say that this doesn't look too bad. May even turn out to be good. I've come to really like McCarthy (she's really good in Spy), and I think McKinnon is very funny at playing weirdo character. The worst part was Jones' yelling and screaming at the end. She seemed like she was getting away from her usual "I'm

*GASP*

It's like listening to some political commentators who think only way you could possibly not like out current president is because you're racist.

Yes. Yes, you should. One of the reasons that makes me think we shouldn't find Jones funny.

Some of the focus on newer, underused characters is great. Uncle Deadly's the breakout one, and Pepe and Rizzo are funny. But I hate not only the underuse of Gonzo, but how he's being used when he's the focus. For some reason they've decided he's a depressed, nerdy loser. Other than his one stunt in one episode, he

I think this show suffers from something that writers of reboots and relaunches often suffer from. Let's call it "surrendering". Here, they have decided that the only appeal of the Muppets is nostalgia of adults. In other words, they've decided modern kids don't like the Muppets, so they're not even going to try to

So, that's the play here? Suggesting Paramount hasn't actually given the rights to create TV shows and movies to some companies and networks?

Did they have to make DJ a widower? Kind of a dark place to go just to mimic the original. Can't she just be divorced?

I know he's not portrayed as the roughest and toughest of guys, but how about an honorable mention for Andre Braugher's Captain Holt on Brooklyn Nine-Nine? It's one of the very few shows where the character's sexuality is barely of interest to anyone. He just happens to be gay and married to a man.

There was a point when I first heard of this reboot that I was thinking the show had the twins as part of the show playing different kids, they've become so known as "Olsen Twins".
