The issue isn’t that spending money is bad, the issue is “what do we get for that money?” Spending on healthcare, education, and infrastructure has proven, demonstrable benefits and a healthy return on investments. I try to use a bit of humor when it’s a veiled reference. Or play dumb & ask them to clarify. If at work & its overt, I remind them that we’re in uniform and representing our company-and that is appreciate it if they wouldn’t use that word around me
