I mean, I can infer from context that it’s some sort of machine that makes kettle corn. Like I’m not a complete idiot.

I’m getting some pretty constructive feedback.
Hot take. It looked terrible, and they should feel bad.
The way I see it... The right wing echo chamber has created a myth about “cancel culture” being some organized conspiracy all the liberal elites in the media and universities are engaged in. That’s what I think of when I hear “cancel culture doesn’t exist.” Because there’s no “conspiracy”, it’s a social trend.
So, yeah, ultimately CaNcEl CuLtUrE isn’t the big scary boogeyman it’s made out to be because enough people are perfectly rational and can figure out if someone did something that deserves consequences.
You write for a website (and family of websites) that just tried to paint someone as a racist because in 1999 at age 19 her parents made her go to a ball that had started allowing Black people to join an insufficient amount of time (20 years) prior to that.
Oh man, you didn’t check in to see how this insane stretch of a nothing-burger was getting roasted over at The Root? Cause it’s getting no traction there, and it feels like their readership should know.
So she entered a pageant and/or attended some weird debutante event. Is there any indication that she was aware it had a racist history? It may be hard for some on here to believe, but googling the damn thing wasn’t an option in 1999.
Learn to read, be nicer to people and maybe check out some court documents, because gawker did not get shut down for libel.
No. The review clearly states that as time goes on they accumulate more and more people.
No, I don’t think so. Parker and Stone want to have it both ways. Biting satire and also complete irreverence. But their nihilistic libertarian views shrine through pretty frequently. They’re whole thing is “we’re too cool to care”. It can be funny, but it can be pretty troubling too.
He’s talked in interviews (and again in The Art Life) about how it was partially inspired by his first encounter with a naked woman, as she stumbled bloody and battered through the streets.
It is going to take another six, eight years for the media to realize that video coverage is often inefficient, and there should be a text transcript for 80% of it. If it can be told in text, tell it in text, because text is speed variable, less intrusive, and inexpensive for density.
Is it just me or is this site seeming to post a LOT more video then it used to? I liked coming on here for the reading aspect of it.
It’s only a video?? Damn.
If you hadn’t read the comics, you’d feel bored. Well, that plus you might have to be me. Lol
Out of thousands of comics read, Preacher is my all-time favorite. And I find religion to be an utter joke, but you go with the flow of Preacher’s wacky premise and those 66 issues (and mini-series), then it’s a helluva ride.
I don’t know about you guys. But I so far have really enjoyed the Kinja conversion here at the AV Club.
