I get your point, but I do feel like the climate is so different from when that all went down with The Chicks. Things are way more divided, statements like theirs are much more common, and conservatives getting outraged by something that’s out of the news soon after is pretty regular. I don’t think the reaction their

Jack’s reaction here is really disappointing. Even if he disagreed with the comment and thought it was in bad taste, throwing your friend and creative partner for decades under the bus to this extent is a big shame.

damn, it’s almost like you said “pre-selected seats fucked theatres”, and that an issue was that people can’t show up 5 minutes before the movie spontaneously and get a great seat. but hey, I apologise for responding to the words you were actually saying, instead of some other stuff.

I’m sure you had good intentions with this take, but it’s a fucking shit take. In the UK assigned seating has been the norm for years and it hasn’t affected a god damn thing. Currently I work in a one-screen cinema and people who show up right before the movie starts have no issue with getting a less good seat. Seems

what u mad about, that collab would slap

One of my top five shows of all time, and while it does get a lot of acclaim from the right places, I think it deserves even more - it really deserves to be on the same pedestal as Sopranos, The Wire, the BBverse, etc. Just beautiful television.

Glee was only truly self-aware for the first 13 episodes. It went downhill extremely quickly after that.

If only Richard had wanted kids.

Agreed this episode was fantastic no notes

School of Rock is a perfect movie but it don’t need no sequel. It’s lightning in a bottle.

Saw the show in London and loved it. Not really sure what’s going on with this interview, though.

Gonna need some time to process this one. My initial thoughts on the second half are that I’m unsure about it as the ending to the show we’ve been watching these past several weeks, but that I loved it as just a very funny, unsettling, and well-made series of scenes.

“It genuinely was a gamble by the studio—did anyone actually care about superheroes not named Batman or Superman?”

the latter

Didn’t anyone with half a brain figure this out at least three episodes ago?

To be honest, I feel quite strongly that Adam McKay should no longer be allowed to make any movies about anything, so this is only halfway good news for me.

If you don’t know the difference between “reporting on” and “being unnecessarily shitty and snarky about”, it’s entirely possible you’ve spent too much time on contemporary AV Club!

Sounds fake as hell!!!

The one time Barsanti is positive and it’s a blatantly sponsored article. He can retweet stuff about how G/O Media is bad for using AI all he likes, but we all know when the revolution comes he’ll be first against the wall for being such a fucking toady.
