OBVIOUSLY BABY PARK YOU MONSTERS

Hey, nice! Liking the show a bunch so far, although I’m hoping more episodes branch out from the creepy, unsettling vibe that basically all of them have had so far. From what I understand tomorrow night’s episode bucks the trend in a big way, so just gotta hope it’s not just a one-off.

Ok, so. I wasn’t super happy about the Kinja change, but if it was just to comments, that wasn’t such a big deal for me personally, as I’m not as active in the comment sections as many people here.

RIP AV Club.

I dunno, he does love strippers a bit too much

Listened to Tidal by Fiona Apple after Pitchfork reviewed the rerelease. Never heard any of her stuff before but I really dig the slightly jazzy bent to that 90s pop-rock sound, even if she is a little reliant on overly simple rhymes. Will be checking out the rest of her albums.

So is this the episode where things actually begin to happen? Because jeez I was with this season at the start but it's ended up even slower and more tepid than the last one. Why is Sam Caitlin so allergic to story development, to moving characters out of the one location? Does he know he's adapting a road trip story?

I can see why you would think that, but I think you're mistaking Paterson's relative lack of expression for anger or depression. When I started watching the movie I also thought it was a depressing look into a mundane life, but as it went on it became clear to me that it was about Paterson's satisfaction - he is able

If anyone's gonna do that it seems like it'll be Freddie with the magic glove.

I love the idea that Cole frequently dreams about Monica Bellucci.

I mean you ARE suggesting that there's an entire generation who don't at all want to be challenged by the media they consume. Criticism or not, that's pretty condescending.

But you like Homer Phobia now, right? That episode rules

how the fuck did y'all not do ketchup

I personally agree because I'm a big fanboy, but I understood the grades for 9-10. This episode, though? It was phenomenal!

I don't like to bitch about grades, but I'm genuinely astounded this one only received a B.

It didn't ruin the episode for me or anything, but I really didn't like the final reveal. Like, F+C was just meant as a loving tribute to the show's fans, and then it was just fun to see how different characters in the show interpreted that universe. Adding something deeper to it, and piling on yet another mystery

Garfield just needed to take one of the lines.

I fucking adore Lynch and Twin Peaks, but I rewatched this movie recently, and……I really don't get why it's been critically re-evaluated recently. So much of it just really isn't that good at all.

I mean, they have the McElroys on in a couple of days. It's hard to top that. Best to go out on a high.

Glad to see Oliver is actually going to review these episodes instead of just arguing about why he shouldn't on twitter. [/foreversalty]
