I'll give writer of this piece credit for going the whole article without mentioning once the film that Tarantino liberally ripped off: Lady Snow Blood. If you haven't seen it, watch it. Then realize every decent scene in Kill Bill came straight from Lady Snow Blood, as is the case for most of his derivative work.

No Theeb, no Victoria, no Timbuktu, no credibility. Especially with the addition of Crimson Peak (awful) and It Follows (mediocre).

Yes. Just a long scene.

Best scene of the year is, by far, the entirety of Victoria, a 2 hour and 15-minute single-take scene. Nothing on this list comes close.

Wes Anderson is the poor-man's Aki Kaurismaki. Wes even borrowed Aki's style.

Watched this film last night and was very disappointed. The lackluster direction and writing failed to sell me on the underlying conceit: a husband doesn't recognize his wife because of some WWII era plastic surgery. Didn't buy it. Her voice didn't change, nor did her mannerisms.
