I started reading them as an adult, too. As a point of reference, I am not always a fan of children's books - they can fall flat for me because they often don't have many complexities - but the Potter series rises above. The over-arching plot is well thought out, the tone is just damn charming, and the characters are…
Eeeee. You were in the wrong funeral home. The place where my mom was laid out (And my grandparents and my brother-in-law) did that kind of thing for you unless you specifically asked to do it yourself. (They even cut a lock of her hair for me when I asked.) (Though you and I are slightly different in that I would…
Ooh! I love Mark's alter ego name. Let's all pick alter ego names!
Oh, Spanx. That promo photo is so clearly representative of your target demographic...
They may be in higher demand, but they sure as hell do not work harder than most of the people in both English and Theatre that I know. In fact, the folks in English and Theatre work even harder to try to get what few jobs there are.
I do have a particularly good sense of smell. And hearing, for that matter... suddenly, I am concerned that I might in fact be a DOG.
Right?! Even if I could get past the taste, there is no way I could get past that smell.
Oh, boo. That sucks extra with your very own chickens hanging out at your place. (My husband loves fried eggs with sriracha, too, I make them for him all the time.)
I have tried SO HARD to like eggs. Omelets looks DELICIOUS.

(Sometimes it does.)
This is my favorite Doodle in a while! I had started to become disenchanted with the whole thing because they do them so often these days, they really don't seem special anymore.
Everything is problematic on some level - encyclopedias, peer-reviewed journals, librarians (yes), and so on, ad nauseum. My point is that Wikipedia is really one the worst of the bunch, and if you need proof of that, just see the above article.
This is very true. I don't really recommend a google search as you main method, either. (And this is why good librarians are indispensbile, as well.)
And this brand of "editing" nonsense is why one of the first things that I taught my students in Freshman English was: NEVER use Wikipedia as a primary source. Those who have no interest in facts can and will find ways to control just about any page they like.
Is anyone else as happy as I am that Snow White and Prince Charming are so happy together in real life? It's just do ridiculously super sweet and adorable.
Oh, great. I already know I will probably die of a stroke (I have a lesion in my brain. It's a thing.), and now it's not even ORIGINAL.
I know a couple who decided to have their baby at home because they think birth is overmedicalized and because God takes care of All Things.
Demi Lovato IS a mermaid. That's how she knows they're real.
