Well, Zaslov is VERY concerned about the state of the IP, that is clear at this point. He expected it all to be his cash cow that would get Disco-WB out of the hole (expecially now that HP’s extended universe is failing).

This will be the second project in a month where Keaton was supposed to be in it, and now it is either dead or he’s been removed from the movie.

I think the movie is just that bad.  Like really terrible and they had no other choice.

As you pointed out in another post, thanks to social media we know more about how awful celebrities are than any publicist could hope to cover up (though honestly I can’t tell if it harms everyone the same way — look at Depp’s fandom, for instance).

I would say part of it is that with principal photography being completed a year ago that to try to cast a new actor, rebuild the sets, and bring back the other actors who have moved on to other projects would be impossible or at least cost-prohibitive.
