If only the Wonder Twins had gone that route! ;-)

Velma is likely getting a pass BECAUSE of the adult nature, the Harley Quinn show proved that the content is okay for their platform and can actually be immensely successful. that being said it is concerning that the wonder twins film is getting tossed because it’s too niche for cinemas when too niche is exactly how a

Also, feels pretty par for the course that the scooped out skull socket of a dead girl is center stage and yet god help you if you show an animated nipple

Yeah that line in the wsj piece means the chances of a LoT tv movie or animated dvd are dead :(

Stan Lee’s Likeness Sold to Marvel

Wrote my first short play in an evening. Had been thinking about the idea for about a week, off and on. Sat down, smoked 2 packs of Marlboro Reds and the thing was done. Not a draft, ready to edit either, done. I submitted it to a short play festival that next day and it got in. I kept writing short plays, and the

Yeah it’s weird and depressing getting to the age where all these actors/musicians/writers/artists/etc I loved growing up are basically dropping like flies. Seems like it’s at least one a week now. I actually feel myself getting numb to it...

In other news, I just found out (though it appears it happened several days ago and on May 8th so if it was mentioned here before, pardon my repetition) that Fred Ward had passed away at 79. How incredibly sad. Though I don’t suppose one could say he was in a top notch “classic” film, he was in a lot of pretty great

Yep. You should read as much as you can — that doesn’t mean you have to finish everything, take it from me as a two-time English major — but it’s good to know what’s come before you, it keeps you from reinventing the wheel.

R.I.P. to a King.

I remember his work on the New Teen Titans was just blown away by the perspective, proportions, details and most importantly emotional expressions.

His memory will live on through his art. Glad he can find peace after what had to have been months of suffering.

No one else could fit more characters into a single panel, and all have them well-drawn and distinctive.  RIP.

Man. This one hurts, especially so soon after Neal Adams. Pérez’s artwork had a huge influence on me when I was a kid. I would flip through comics at the bookstore and his art always stood out. He was also extremely kind and seemed to genuinely love meeting his fans. RIP.

Sadly, though, what you say about novels is something that has happened also with comic books. The authors seems to of late try to create something that can be collected into a trade paperback and it always strikes me that this becomes a form of an illustrated screenplay, for better or worse.
