Stars for you, your son, and the scout troop.
Well shit. That sure beats all the crap that my son, his scout troop and I pulled out of a ravine yesterday as part of the Clean Your Streams day. Seven plus tires, broken bikes, scooters and 20+ bags of garbage. It was nasty
Anyone who was hard on Robb after his initial article should retract. He’s been a really good sport about this.
lol you cant win bro , if your mean then your an asshole , if your nice then your wrong . lovely read thanks for the update
Simple answer: Telsa have been doing electric cars a LOT longer than anyone else and testing the crap out of them, pushing their own cars to their limits hence, their engineers know how to ring (pardon the pun) the most out of them. Porsche et. al. are very, very new at this.
So many of these roads-not-taken! Speaking of Ryan O’Neal, he’s a decent actor and more physically plausible than Stallone as a heavyweight, but I can’t help thinking that his Rocky would’ve been a heck of a movie-of-the-week rather than part of the modern canon...
I doubt they were thinking sequels at that time, especially since what they did with those sequels was so different from the original, but while Troutman killing Rambo would have made the most sense as an ending I have to think test audiences would have rioted.
It was sequels, but Rambo DOES die at the end of the novel, which I’d read years earlier. Of course, novel Rambo does all his damage with a .30-30, not a conveniently loaded and unguarded M-60.
well could be. i dont know when you read him saying that, but he IS like 102, now.
Rumor has it that Stallone rewrote the ending of the movie to give veterans hope and also give himself a big dramatic speech.
weird that douglas thought that, because i heard thats how the book ended.
Col. Troutman has always been interesting to me, he obviously lied his fucking ass off to Rambo in the first and second movies about caring about him and trying his best to get Rambo out of the rockbreaking place.
Well, done great information. I’ve driven the Model S and recently Model 3, I’ll never buy another ICE car.
Additional information from an EV daily driver (Tesla Model 3). I just hit 1 year and 16,000 miles.
Having never driven an electric car myself, how do you like the experience? I’m coming from a sporty high reving compact (RSX) and a fire breathing, tire smoking muscle car (SRT). Is spirited driving as fun when it’s electric and single geared? I ask because when next-car time comes in 10 years or so I’ll probably…
You are assuming that not scheduling track time in advance means that they weren’t planning it in advance.
As flattering as it would be for Musk to have actually just done this on a whim, the reality is that he’s been anticipating what the Taycan will be able to do and working on this next generation Model S for a long time now knowing that Porsche was coming. You don’t just show up have a car capable of smoking the Taycan…
So Tesla’s wheels, bearings, studs, axles could fail. But Porsche, and every other manufacturer is fine. Your axe must be pretty sharp by now.
No, you assumed it was a whim based on incomplete information and your opinion of Musk. If Tesla is in the 7:20's, it’s clearly the result of a determined effort by Tesla engineers that likely started over a year ago.
your statement that this was done “on a whim” is wild speculation. you have zero idea whether that’s true or not. you’re only assuming it is because you were surprised by the announcement. you honestly think they built up an entirely new drivetrain and arranged to ship it to Germany “on a whim”? it’s no wonder people…
