Krull had a B-movie script and acting, but an A-movie budget. I’ve no idea where all that money went, though, because it looks cheap and clunky.

Excalibur is a B-movie?
Ah.. not nearly as bad as a red one... I always liked that color too.
Yeah, total ticket magnet.. what color was it? Color can make it even worse as far as that goes.

He’s been like that for a long, long time. I used to like him, back when I was also immature and hacky.
Giangreco is hack, like most local news sports anchors. For some reason lately he thinks he needs to be funny, and has had a lot of punny taglines. I think he’s been on the local sports radio too much and thinks he’s funny. He is not, and needs to stop or go away.
If there’s one thing local news stations are known for, it’s their top-tier, high-minded satire.
I kind of think of curling like an icier golf. Watching someone do it makes it look like anyone can excel; but once you actually try it you realize you are inadequate without years and years of practice. A finesse and precision game coming down to millimeters
2. Maybe a person doesn’t have to be a butthurt fanboy or an alt-righter to dislike a movie.
Your memory serves you well, however, the character did come from a military background (marines, I think). So he definitely knows how to handle a weapon.
When the president starts doing racist impersonations of Asian people, demanding everyone pay attention to them at all times, and says the absolute wrong thing at the wrong time, will Jack Ryan look at the camera and shrug?
Watch the video. It’s literally impossible for him to have achieved almost every score he claims.
This YouTube video demonstrates how suspect Todd Rogers is. The vast majority of his scores were “verified” by a judge who was a personal friend, and he has been caught inputting some of his own scores into the TG leaderboards.
Plus, upon reflection, he does say in the beginning to Perry “Frankly, I don’t understand violence in any form” (maybe not exact quote). So, maybe he understands violence better after being on the receiving end of it, and it changes him a little. That’s very human. Now I’m a little sad that he felt the need to mete…
I’m not saying it’s good or bad, or that its inclusion is right or wrong, or that it makes sense or doesn’t. I’m saying that there was no way Donner was going to leave any of it out of his version, regardless of its merit. If the beef is with its creation in the first place, well what can you do. There are a few…
I get what you’re all saying about the diner scene, but lose it and we lose “I’ve been...” *mimics wieght lifting* “...working out”
Donner was very, very proud of the whole trucker/diner scene. He tells a story in the commentary about how a critic at the time wrongly credited that scene to Lester and used it as an example of why Lester was the superiour choice to finish the movie. He was still incensed about that.
What is it with Superman and truck drivers? He had to deal with one in Man of Steel as well. And, in keeping with form, totally destroyed the man’s source of income and at the same time, essentially put out a giant sign saying, “Superman was here”. So much for keeping a low profile. The “S” doesn’t stand for “hope”,…
Same in the first one, where he considers telling Lois who he is after their flight together. I’ve tried imitating his vocal delivery of “Lois? There’s something I have to tell you”, and just can’t - the way his voice lowers during the line, and his body language changes, and HE changes. It’s amazing.
